Your information
Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Open House Route collects, why we use it, when it is shared, and the choices available to you.
1. Information we collect
We collect account and contact information such as name, email,
phone, role, and credentials; professional information such as
brokerage and real-estate license details; listing content such as
addresses, event schedules, descriptions, photographs, and access
notes; transaction and subscription identifiers from our payment
provider; saved homes and routes; communications and reports; and
technical information such as IP address, device/browser data,
cookies, security events, and usage logs. Precise device location
is used only when you choose a location-based feature and grant
permission.
2. How we use information
We use information to operate accounts, publish and moderate
listings, build and save routes, process subscriptions, verify
agents, communicate service and security messages, prevent fraud
and abuse, provide support, measure and improve the service,
comply with law, and protect users and the public.
3. How information is shared
Public listing and agent-profile information is shown to users. We
share information with service providers that host infrastructure,
store media, deliver email, verify abuse prevention, process
payments, provide maps or directions, and support operations. We
may share information to comply with law, protect rights and
safety, investigate misuse, or complete a merger, financing,
acquisition, or asset transfer. We do not sell personal
information for money. If our practices create a “sale,”
“sharing,” or targeted-advertising right under applicable law, we
will provide the required opt-out mechanism before using
information that way.
4. Cookies and analytics
We use essential cookies for authentication, security,
preferences, and saved-route functions. We may use limited
analytics to understand performance and usage. Browser controls
can restrict cookies, but essential account features may stop
working. We honor legally required opt-out signals when applicable
to the processing involved.
5. Retention
We retain account information while an account is active and as
reasonably needed for the purposes above. Listing and event
records may be retained for moderation, audit, fraud prevention,
and legal compliance after they are withdrawn or expire. Session,
reset, and verification tokens expire automatically. Backup and
audit records are deleted or de-identified under operational
retention schedules unless law requires longer retention.
6. Your choices and privacy rights
You may update profile and listing information through your
account and unsubscribe from optional marketing messages.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to know or
access, correct, delete, obtain a portable copy, limit certain
sensitive-data uses, or opt out of sale, sharing, targeted
advertising, or profiling. You may also appeal a denied request
where applicable. We may verify identity before completing a
request and will not discriminate for exercising a privacy right.
Submit requests through our
privacy support form.
7. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed
for the information involved, including short-lived one-time
sign-in codes, restricted administrative access, encrypted
transport, expiring sessions and tokens, audit logs, and managed
Cloudflare infrastructure. No system is completely secure, so we
cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children
The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not
knowingly collect their personal information. Contact us if you
believe a child provided information so we can investigate and
delete it as appropriate.
9. United States processing and changes
The service is operated in the United States, and information may
be processed where our providers operate. We may update this
policy and will post a revised effective date; material changes
may receive additional notice.
10. Contact
Privacy questions and requests may be submitted through our
support form. Please include
enough information for us to understand and respond to the
request.
